- He is labeled as Boco instead of BoCo in most sources.
- The first prototype 1994 Boco used Daisy's body.
- Boco and the Knapford Express Coach share the same base model.
- The official description for 2003 Boco stated that he was "back by popular demand".
- The 2003 Boco character card depicts the 1994 version.
- Boco is not featured in the 2003 yearbook. However, he is featured in the 2003 pamphlet.
- Although Boco was reintroduced in 2003, some of his 2003 reintroduction versions have 2002 on their wheels and some of his UK boxes are dated 2001.
- Unlike other engines available at the time, Boco never received painted eyes.
