Trivia[]

  • The Sodor Railway Repair blueprints were drawn on 29 March 1997. The blueprints refer to it as the Sodor Chain Loader.
  • The prototype Sodor Railway Repair features yellow smokestacks instead of black, grayer ballast instead of white, and "Sodor Chain Load Undercut" instead of "Sodor Railway Repair" written on the sides.
  • In his only appearance in The Railway Series, the Sodor Railway Repair has a black face, instead of the gray face on the Wooden Railway version.
  • The vehicle itself has a ledge on the back which allows for an additional chute piece to be attached.
  • The Sodor Railway Repair is the first engine to feature eye wear. The second is Whiff, and the third is Helpful Steamie.
  • The Sodor Railway Repair is the first rail vehicle not to have a front magnet. The others are Winter Wonderland Thomas, Hank, Snow Covered Percy, Winston, Marion, and Dustin.
  • The first two cars of the Sodor Railway Repair are the second vehicles not to have a black chassis. The first is Terence, the third is Fergus, the fourth is Rocky, the fifth is Byron, the sixth is Peter Sam's Dynamite Delivery, and the seventh is Stephen's Castle Coaches.
  • Roy Wilson has stated this item as well as Flying Scotsman to be his favorite items.
