Trivia[]

  • The prototype 1993 Bill features James's face. His eyes look towards his right instead of his left.
  • Bill's original design with sticker labels had only 200 copies produced for the Thomas Wooden Railway's initial trial run in 1992. The sticker labels were liable to peel off easily, and were used because the production facility lacked a pad printer for rounded surfaces at the time. It was one of 3 engines to feature stickers when first produced, the other 2 being Toby and Ben.
  • All individual versions of Bill are identical to Ben, apart from their nameplates depicting their respective names and Bill's eyes looking towards his left.
  • The 1993-2004 versions of Bill have no funnel. Toby, Ben, Duck, Donald, Douglas, and Logan also share this.
